딸아이가 최근에 영화로 본 애니매이션 중 내용뿐만 아니라 스토리 또한 너무 재미있어 했던 게 주토피아였습니다. 주토피아는 주변의 고정관념을 깨기위해 또한 자신의 꿈을 위해 열심히 달리는 주디의 모습이 모든 아이들에게 나도 무엇이든지 내가 하고자 하는 것을 위해 끝까지 노력한다면 못할 것이 없다는 자신감과 용기를 주는 교훈적인 이야기입니다. 그래서인지 아이 또한 큰 감동을 받았으며 주토피아 책을 무척이나 갖고 싶어하던 중 현재 영어를 공부하고 있으므로 영어 원서로서의 해석을 통한 주토피아의 내용을 읽는 것도 또 다른 의미와 추억이 될 것 같아 번역판이 아닌 원서를 추천하게 되었습니다. 본인이 너무 좋아하는 이야기의 원서를 해석함으로서 너무 재미있고 스스로 모르는 단어를 찾아가는 기쁨까지 느끼면서 영어 해석의 재미와 흥미를 갖게 되어 너무 좋은 시간이 되었습니다. 더욱 느낀 건 역시 아이들이 원하는 것을 서서히 시작하는 공부의 영향력이 정말 크다는 것을 새삼 느끼게 되었습니다.
